Unpaid Internship Opportunity at Urban Set Bride

Location: Church Hill, Richmond, VA

Urban Set Bride is seeking a passionate and driven individual for a 3-month internship with potential for employment! If you’re intuitive, motivated, and interested in small business ownership, fashion, retail, weddings, and social media for small companies, this is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the bridal industry for college credit.

 

Responsibilities Include:

• Shadowing during wedding gown shopping appointments.

• Greeting guests and creating a welcoming environment.

• Answering phones and emailing prospective and current clients.

• Assisting with social media content creation and posting.

• Helping our team make buying decisions for the Fall 2025 season.

• Steaming gowns and processing shipments of sample gowns and customer orders.

• And any specific areas of small boutique ownership you are interested in learning about, we are open books! 

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation or the ability to safely commute to Church Hill, Richmond.

• Strong interest in fashion, weddings, retail, and small business operations.

• Ability to work closely with our team, including Co-Owners, Shop Manager, and Senior Stylist.

• Comfortable helping clients get in and out of gowns while they are wearing undergarments.

  • Reliable, able to be a part of a team and alway stay body-positive

  • Ability to keep pace in a high energy environment

  • Strong attention to detail, organized and polished

This internship will give you the chance to work with and learn from a VCU alum who has opened and continues to run multiple small businesses in the wedding industry. 

You'll have access to witness the ins and out of entrepreneurship, financial management, real life content creation and social media management and the day to day operations of a family owned business. 

You will work directly with co-owner, Christine Greenberg to learn real life entrepreneurial skills, problem solving, customer service in a luxury retail space and current wedding gown industry trends. 

You'll be side by side with our team as we purchase inventory for the following season, style our brides, update our websites and marketing campaigns and ensure our brand voice is consistent on all platforms.
